What makes your sling different than other slings?

Our  Patent Pending sling was designed, tested, and fielded by Special Mission Unit Operators. And it's unlike anything on the market! Almost the entire sling is made from seatbelt material. Our sling  features a sleek 1.25" wide padded shoulder area and our Lycan Precison's Hybrid loop for quick identification and easy manipulation. The Hybrid Loop is our proprietary design and allows you to adjust your sling using either the Loop or tab. Our Hybrid Loop is on a heavy duty 7075 aluminum tri glide instead of the plastic or polymer tri glides that you see being used for the adjust on a lot of slings.  Our sling is also Berry Compliant and Made in the USA.

Why did you make your sling using Seatbelt material?

A sling made out of nylon certainly would have been substantially cheaper for us to make. But it was never about trying to have the cheapest sling on the market. We want to make one of the best slings on the market and to do that it starts with using the best materials available. When we started this project using seatbelt material on rifle slings was pretty much unheard of but the benefits are undeniable. One of the first things the Operators noticed was the seatbelt material doesn't grab onto your clothing like nylon slings.  Especially when compared to nylon padded slings that use 500D and 1000D nylon. Seatbelt material is more durable and also has a substantially higher break strength than nylon. The seatbelt material allows for our Hybrid Loop to glide smoothly back and forth when you're adjusting the sling. Plus it's a lot less abrassive on your skin. One of the comments the Operators made during the testing phase was that our sling was the first sling they'd ever used that didn't rub their neck raw after a long day of training.

The padded area on your sling doesn't look as wide as other slings I've seen. Why?

The Special Mission Unit Operators we worked with wanted the padded area to be more streamlined than anything that was out there. By cutting the padded area width to 1.25" from the industry standard 2.5"-3.25"wide padded area meant it was less likely to get caught up on their gear and less of an obstruction when they're doing dynamic shooting.

Do I have to use your Lycan Precision sling hardware? Can I use QD's with your sling?

You can run whatever sling hardware you want. Our sling hardware,QD's, etc.

What's the advantage of running kevlar cord and your sling hardware instead of QD's?

We noticed quite a few of the Special Mission Unit Operators that we were working with weren't using QD's. When we asked why they were attaching their slings with cord instead of QD's they gave us a few reasons and it all boils down to durability and noise control.  QD's  can get noisy when sand and dirt gets trapped between the QD and it's attachment point. They also said that Kevlar cord is stronger than QD's and less likely to fail in the field. So we collaborated on making some sling hardware that would facilitate attaching our sling with kevlar cord. Our sling hardware is milled in the US from 7075 aluminum making it both strong and lightweight. And the 2.4mm Kevlar Cord that comes standard with our Sling Hardware package is also made in the USA and a single strand has a tensile strength of 525 lbs!
